Airborne Exposure Monitoring
Airborne exposure monitoring refers to testing of airborne hazards in the workplace — dust, fumes, chemical vapours, and other contaminants. SafeWork Australia maintains a comprehensive list of airborne contaminants, some of which are classified as carcinogens, so testing isn't optional for at-risk workers.
How the testing works: we carry out airborne monitoring by attaching calibrated air sampling equipment to a worker during their normal work shift, capturing genuine, real-world exposure data rather than a single spot measurement. This gives meaningful data to implement proper control measures, and to make changes where exposure sits above guideline limits. Our hygienists follow up-to-date sampling methodologies and adhere to the SafeWork Australia Workplace Exposure Standards for Airborne Contaminants. All laboratory analysis is conducted by independent NATA-accredited laboratories.
